Jerry Potocnik is an attorney licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas. He graduated from KU Law School in 1998, and has maintained a solo law practice in Blue Springs, Missouri since 2001. His primary areas of focus are real estate law and estate planning, but has extensive experience in contracts, landlord tenant law, corporate startups, probate, personal injury claims and municipal court practice.
In 2017, in an effort to better accommodate real estate clients, he obtained a real estate brokers license and opened a small brokerage firm named Pendleton Realty, LLC, which he maintains along with his wife, Karen Pendleton Potocnik. They focus primarily on residential home sales.
The title of his presentation is: Seller’s Disclosures Forms: What are the legal repercussions to owners, brokers and agents. This discussion will explore the laws that govern a seller’s obligations to disclosure information about defects in the condition of property in the context of residential home sales in Missouri. It will also discuss an agent’s duty to independently disclose information about a property that may arise during the scope of representation.
