He is the Incumbent District 23 Missouri Sate Representative, first elected in 2021. Johnson served in the U.S. Army. His career experience includes working as an insurance agent with the Johnson Hazley Agency.

He presently sits on the Economic Development Committees the Veterans Committee and the Insurance Committee at the State, also on the Board of Enable KC.
