DESCRIPTION:The New KC Psychiatric Hospital  hosted by State Rep Wick Thomas\n\n\nState Representative Wick Thomas has announced a community \nupdate and listening session to provide the latest details and gather input on the new Kansas City Psychiatric Hospital project\, planned for Belvidere Park. \nThe hospital is a partnership between the State of Missouri\, University Health\, and the City of Kansas City to offer inpatient psychiatric care for at least 200 people experiencing a mental health crisis. It is expected to open in 2029 and will help ease pressure on emergency rooms and local jails while providing better care closer to home. \nNearly $300 million in state funding was approved to help make the project possible. Several Organizations that offer soccer to their youth are to be our guest speakers on a panel at the February Luncheon. \nCome hear about their involvement with Global Soccer Tournament \nOur panelists include; \nReggie Francois\, Senior Recreation Director with Kansas City Parks and Recreation. My role includes creating and managing programs for the Parks and Recreation Department\, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the 9th & Van Brunt Soccer Complex. \nI currently manage several soccer programs\, including Let’s Play Soccer for ages 3–6\, Big Heart Soccer\, a youth soccer tournament\, Girls Empowerment\, a program for middle and high school students\, and a Women’s Soccer League \nRev Nicholas Kaufmann Mamisashvili Operations Director with Global FC I organize Global FC – a soccer club for refugee teens and kids in Kansas City. \nBrad Leonard\, Director Ryogoku Soccer Academy is an accredited international school and elite soccer development program for young men in grades 5-12\, located in Kansas City\, MO. Through Ryogoku Soccer Academy\, Brad is committed to blending rigorous academics\, elite soccer\, and community engagement to create an all-encompassing educational model that responds directly to the needs of students and families. \nHector Moy Solorio\, Director of Coaching at Ryogoku Soccer Academy and Youth Development Coordinator at the Mattie Rhodes Center.
