Bio for Mindy Brissey

Mindy Brissey is a recognized expert in small business development, government relations, and strategic leadership. She is the founder and owner of MRB Strategies, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in government relations, political strategy, and small business development. Her career reflects a unique blend of public service and private sector expertise, driven by her commitment to helping entrepreneurs and small businesses achieve long-term growth.

A former Presidential Appointee, Mindy served as Regional Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Region VII and as Acting Regional Administrator for Region VI. In these roles, she directed federal programs designed to expand access to capital, contracting opportunities, and technical assistance for small businesses. Her leadership extended to public speaking, administration of government offices, and fostering collaborative strategies to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Raised in the Topeka, Kansas area, Mindy earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and has lived her adult life in Kansas City, Missouri. Alongside her professional endeavors, she serves on the board of the American Heart Association and volunteers as a dog foster, reflecting her commitment to community service and personal passions.
