Public Safety Tax Renewal Forum

Our guest Major Heinen will be our speaker to discuss the upcoming Public Safety Sales Tax renewal vote, scheduled for April 8, 2025. Major Heinen will present the facts about this tax, what is presently pays for and what the renewed tax will be allocated to support and why we need to renew the tax. Come to find out more.

Bio for Major Heinen

Major Heinen has been with KCPD for 23 years. He spent several years in Patrol both as an Officer and as a Sergeant. He spent 7 years as a Detective in Homicide and also worked in our Crime Lab. His experience with both of these Units let to many high profile arrests. For the last four years he has served in KPCD’s Fiscal Division, where he serves as the Division Commander and works closely with City Officials on budget items.
